Robotics

Company overview

Appetronix builds fully autonomous robotic kitchen systems designed for high-traffic quick-service environments where labor shortages and throughput demands are most acute. Its hardware includes robotic cooking equipment, integrated kiosks for ordering, vision-based food inspection systems, and precision modules for automated food preparation. These plug-and-play robotic kitchens are engineered for 24/7 uptime with no on-site labor, and support multiple cuisine formats—including pizza, Asian bowls, Mexican bowls, and desserts—through modular hardware and custom engineering. The software layer provides AI-driven order prediction, inventory and quality monitoring, real-time computer-vision checks, predictive maintenance, and seamless integration with POS and operational systems.
The company uses a hardware-as-a-service (HaaS) and revenue-sharing model rather than traditional equipment sales. Appetronix retains ownership of the robotic kitchen, and operators pay no upfront CapEx; instead, foodservice partners share revenue generated by each deployed unit. Software, predictive maintenance, menu updates, inventory alerts, and continuous system monitoring are bundled into the recurring commercial agreement. This structure minimizes financial risk for operators while ensuring Appetronix can maintain, upgrade, and optimize each unit throughout its service life.
“We don’t sell the machine,” explains co-founder and CEO Nipun Sharma. “We do a revenue share with all the partners. There’s the brand or franchisor, the operator or franchisee, and us as the platform providing the hardware and software as a service.”
