Flo Mobility

Autonomous Mobile Robots

Company overview

Flo Mobility’s flagship product is FLO Hauler—an autonomous, electric, all-terrain material mover equipped with sensors, swappable batteries, and a customizable dumper that reduces the time and cost of moving materials in the construction, agriculture, mining, and warehousing industries. The company’s other robotics solutions include an autonomous lawnmower outfitted with GPS, sonar, tilt & lift sensors, and rain sensors for everything from collision avoidance to environmental monitoring to dock-based auto-charging. Flo Mobility is working on building painting and wall-finishing robots to expand its product portfolio, with a vision to become the world's largest construction robotics company.

The company offers its solutions through a robots-as-a-service (RaaS) pricing model, which means no capital investments for its customers. In this business model, customers have access to an entire platform, not just the hardware: Flo Fleet Control software allows for remote tele-operation of the robots from anywhere in the world, along with real-time data visualization and intelligence monitoring for enhanced situational awareness. Customers pay a flexible recurring subscription fee or on a pay-per-use basis, depending on their business needs.

“The RaaS model allows us to offer a flexible, low-capex solution, rather than sell a piece of hardware outright and expect customers to fully monitor and maintain it themselves,” says Founder and CEO Manesh Jain. “And as our AI algorithms are continually enhanced, customers’ operations are further streamlined and refined across the board. This enables us to provide an end-to-end solution that seamlessly integrates with customers’ systems and delivers business value, as opposed to a one-off piece of equipment.”
