Company overview
LG CLOi develops a portfolio of autonomous service robots built for hospitality, retail, healthcare, and logistics environments. The lineup includes ServeBot for table service and food delivery, GuideBot for navigation and guest assistance, and CarryBot for materials transport. Each unit combines LG’s hardware engineering with onboard AI, 3D sensors, and autonomous navigation to move safely around people and obstacles. Through LG’s CMS (Central Management System), businesses can monitor fleets, schedule tasks, track performance, and push software updates from a single cloud interface. Together, the robots and CMS platform deliver a scalable automation layer that improves throughput, reduces repetitive labor, and enhances customer-facing experiences.
The CLOi business model is hybrid: customers can either purchase robots outright or access them through a subscription-based hardware-as-a-service (HaaS) program. Direct CapEx purchases include access to the devices and optional service plans, while the subscription model bundles hardware, CMS software, updates, and support into a single monthly or annual fee. This HaaS approach, launched for commercial customers in 2024, lowers upfront risk and ensures companies always run the newest software without dealing with asset ownership or depreciation. At the same time, businesses with long-term deployment plans can still buy robots through LG’s reseller network or business portal, adding service tiers as needed. The dual structure gives operators flexibility to scale automation on their own terms.
