Company overview
Lyro Robotics’ flagship product is the LR-1 S, an autonomous robotic packing solution that sorts and packs irregularly-shaped produce items such as avocados, zucchini, eggplant, sweet potatoes, and punnets of packed fruits such as cherry tomatoes and berries. Lyro’s solution includes a conveyor belt that feeds the items into a box-shaped machine. Inside the box, advanced intelligent vision cameras scan the produce, detect what it is and how it should be picked, and the robot chooses the best end-effector to pick and pack the produce into a box. The LR-1 S is equipped with a pattern-packing system for optimized box-packing and waste minimization, and delicately handles fruits and vegetables prone to bruising.
Lyro offers its solution under a robots-as-a-service (RaaS) model, in which customers only pay based on how much produce the robot packs. Full-solution packages include the LR-1 S, the Lyro Machine Intelligence that powers it, and the service and maintenance to keep it running. As there’s no upfront capital outlay—only the usage-based fee—it’s easy for farmers to incorporate the LR-1 S into their existing financial plans.
