Company overview

Seismic develops Powered Clothing that blends wearable robotics with apparel design to reduce muscle strain, fatigue, and injury risk. The company’s core product, the Seismic Suit, is a vest-style garment equipped with Flex-Drive electric muscles that deliver up to 50 pounds of biomechanically aligned support to the wearer’s core and hips. Integrated sensors and processors detect posture and movement in real time, automatically activating assistive power during tasks like standing, leaning, squatting, kneeling, or forward and backward flexion. The suit is lightweight, breathable, and designed for full-shift use with up to 8-10 hours of power per charge. An IoT-enabled data layer captures and analyzes posture and movement, generating personalized dashboards and ergonomic insights that help employers identify high-risk tasks and reduce musculoskeletal injuries.
Seismic operates a hybrid recurring sales model centered on the CapEx purchase of Powered Clothing systems—garments, the modular component belt, Flex-Drive electric muscles, on-suit sensors, and the battery system. The purchase is paired with a digital services layer that includes cloud-based posture analytics, real-time feedback tools, machine-learning improvements, ergonomic reporting, and fleet-level metrics such as the Seismic Safety Score. Customers also receive onboarding, training, and ongoing support designed to help them deploy the suits at scale, integrate them into existing safety programs, and track measurable improvements in workforce productivity and musculoskeletal risk reduction.
